Style Reins readers will know that I love boots and I adore gold so when a friend offered to let me try a green pair of their Spanish Riding boots for size I jumped at the chance to try them out. I think they looked perfect with my off white jeans and this stunning jersey asymmetric top from New Look.
The one I have is khaki but to the eye it’s slightly metallic and what I’d call antique gold. For a stylish and elegant look you could also wear this top with black jeans or trousers and look a picture at any get together this Christmas. I wore it tied at the hip for the photos but I love how it slightly shimmered as I moved when it was loose too.
Being me I always like to add a little bit of bling so I added my Style Reins rose gold wrap around diamante and stud bracelet, I think it’s cute and added a bit of fun to finish off the look. These bracelets are a perfect stocking filler presents for girls of any age!
Or what about a real Red Carpet look? If the party or Hunt Ball you’re going to calls for a real show stopper and you’re planning to turn heads and steal the limelight then this gorgeous champagne maxi dress from Quiz is definitely for you. I’ll be wearing mine with an up do and a pretty pair of stud earrings, remember with a dress like this to keep it simple, we don’t want to be mistaken for the Christmas tree!
I have Coco Chanel quotes on my wall and one of my favourites is:
“Dress shabbily and they’ll remember the dress, dress impeccably and they’ll remember the woman”
So I always remember there are lots of ways to shine. If you prefer to be quietly glam and sophisticated why not team a little black dress with a gold clutch and some pretty party shoes? I really loved these ones from Monsoon, I can’t walk in very high heels so these are perfect for me.
There are so many beautiful and fun gold bags out there that I found it hard to choose a favourite. Then I found this fringed bag in Next and I just fell in love! I love that fringes and tassels are so much in fashion right now and I can let my inner cowgirl out! It’s definitely going on my Christmas list. I think it’ll look so cute with a dark leather jacket, jeans and some great cowboy boots.
Talking of great boots, I had to give my borrowed pair of Spanish Riding boots back, but did I like them? Yes I loved them as much as I thought, the difficult part about these boots is choosing which colour and style you like best! This is the pair I’m wearing…
What golden treasures have you found for Christmas this year?
