I was lucky enough to get tickets for the Subaru sponsored point-to-point at Oakley last weekend and what a beautiful spring day it was! The sun was shining, the horses looked amazing and everyone was having a lovely time.
Looking at the sea of tweed shooting jackets and country boots I found my eyes drawn to how the ladies were accessorising their outfits to make them stand out from the crowd, so I borrowed a camera and went in search of stylish individuals to get ideas for spectator wear at equestrian events.
Can you believe I ran into someone wearing a Style Reins scarf? These two pretty girls were rocking the look with the scarf tied to a smart Radley bag. This black winged tote from River Island would make a great alternative:
A change from the pompom hats and headbands, I loved the grey fedora style hat, looking great with a fitted tweed jacket. This handmade floppy felt hat by Holly Young Millinery would look just as gorgeous:
I discovered this glamorous lady who was carrying a cute satchel and wearing a super jacket by Joules, the browns and green contrasting with her brilliant red leather gloves to give a splash of colour.
Get this look for yourself with these fabulous cashmere lined gloves which are currently half price at Aspinal of London:
This lady swapped the more traditional brown/green tweed coat for a colourful one in pinks and yellow. Her outfit was topped off with a vibrant, plush faux-fur purple head warmer to keep her ears warm and her look different and stylish.
This fabulous, faux fur headband from Urban Dealer would add a pop of colour to your wardrobe and keep you cosy at spring events:
Finally, this stylish lady stood out from the crowd with a gorgeous coral scarf, brightening her look:
Of course the ultimate must have accessory of the day had to be a gorgeous dog. There were so many but one of my favourites was the Oakly Point-to-Point sponsors, Subaru UK’s dog Poppy.
